German Brass celebrates the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss with a brand-new album. It contains works by the composer and also works by some of his contemporary companions, such as Chopin, Brahms and Kreisler, that have been arranged as a programmatic “bouquet” aroung Johann Strauss. Matthias Höfs did the arrangements for the ensemble, presenting a lively new brass sound to known titles from the second half of the 19th century.
